Customer Support

Customer Support is moved to our platform PEXit (https://pexit.net) from the conventional email system for better security and tracking. Users can post all support queries to PEXit.

Your Support Query posted to PEXit is visible only to you and the Support Team and NOT to all other PEXit users. In effect, PEXit Customer Support is a private communication and is NOT made public.

Instructions for posting your New Support Queries and Additional Queries related to Previous Support Queries are given here.

CAEPIPE 3D+

Installation

It's really important that you review the CAEPIPE 3D+ User's Manual so that you can properly set up CAEPIPE 3D+ within your Plant Design software. This is a step you cannot skip with this software or you won't be able to figure out how to make CAEPIPE 3D+ work properly otherwise. For example, there are some reference field tables that need to be setup initially that will allow CAEPIPE 3D+ to read and interrupt the data out of your Plant Design software.

* Important note: checkSTRESS is not used independently by loading the program outside of your Plant Design software; instead it is accessed from within your Plant Design software.*

The instructions for installing the activation key are on Page 14 of the checkSTRESS User's Manual.

SST License Manager (SSTLM)

IMPORTANT NOTE: SSTLM requires .Net Framework 3.5. In Windows 10 and Windows Server R12, please verify that .NET Framework 3.5 is enabled in the "Turn Microsoft features on or off" options setting. For Windows 7 and Windows 8, .NET Framework 3.5 is already installed by default.

Download SSTLM only if it is not installed. Unzip into a temporary folder.

Installation

Before you get started, please review the SSTLM User's Manual for additional settings or configurations that might be required within your network environment.

Please be sure to install the "setup.exe" file, not the "setup.msi" file. The MSI installer does not work with our SSTLM and will cause an ERROR 2869 if you try to do this.

Please use the option to press the button "More >>" and then "Send email" to email the Product Key to SST's Software Activation Department.

Error Message: "SST Service is not running." - If you see this error message, please check the SSTLM log file ("C:/Windows/program files (x86)/SSTLM/sstlm.log"). Is the SSTLM service listening to the correct IP address? Make sure that it's not using the loopback IP address of 127.0.0.1 which is only a valid IP for computer troubleshooting and testing. Most times, stop/re-start the SSTLM service will resolve this error.

Stop/Re-Start SSTLM Service - Still having trouble? Have you tried stopping/restarting the SSTLM service? This ensures that the SSTLM environment variables that have been set during installation become activate.

Port 12000 - Please ensure port 12000 is open for inbound and outbound traffics on both client and server machines. The SST License Manager service cannot run if port 12000 isn't listening.

Environment Variable Help

Re-Start SSTLM Service - Always remember to re-start the SSTLM service to activate your modification(s) to the environment variable(s).

Multiple Network Cards - If your computer have more than one network card (e.g., wired and wireless wi-fi connection) then you may need to setup the environment variable "USEIP". See instructions in Chapter 1 of the SSTLM User's Manual for details.

Dynamic IP Address or Work From Multiple Locations (e.g., home/work/client's office) - If your computer has dynamic IP address, then you need to setup the environment variable "SSTLM" to your device name instead of the IP address. However, if you have different work locations for SSTLM (for example, SSTLM installed on a Laptop used in different locations), then it is necessary to add a new environment variable "SKIPIP" under "System Variable" to instruct the SSTLM not to validate the IP address stored in the Activation Key against the Network IP Address. See instructions in SSTLM User's Manual for details.

Client/Server Machines Configuration - If you install SSTLM on the server machine, and then install CAEPIPE-LM on the client machine(s), then you will need to manually setup the environment variable "SSTLM" on the client machine(s). See instructions in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 in SSTLM User's Manual for details.

Deleting an Environment Variable - After deleting the variable, please reboot your computer in order for the deletion to actually take effect.
